*授業 [#v13ab088]
-駿台らしいアカデミックな授業ではなく、受験生の目線に立った授業を展開する。
--理論的な説明をしながら化学の本質に踏み込んでいくような講義ではなく、解き方のコツをとにかく伝授するような授業を展開する。
--量子力学や混成軌道、電子論など、発展的事項の解説は行わない。ただし、春期の『化学特講』では講座内容上がっつりと、高卒上位クラスではレベル層に合わせて少し行われる。
--全体的に解き方の解説が中心となるが、入試問題で合格点を取るだけの実力は確実に付く。

-授業はプリント形式で、基本的にノートは不要である。
--要項解説はテキストとプリントを併用して行う。テキストの説明の不足部分をプリントで補う形で使用し、重要事項を赤ペンと青ペンで引くように指示しながら説明を行う。
--演習問題は書き込み式のプリントを用いて行う。予め図表が書かれており、授業を聞きながら空欄を埋め、必要に応じてメモを取っていく形になる。
--年に1・2回程度だが、板書を写すことを促すことがある。また、センター明けの『化学A』などは板書授業で進む。ルーズリーフで対応すると良い。
-プリント配布は一大イベント化する（師の配布方法で効率が良くなっているかは不明）。
--授業で配るプリントの余りは全て回収する。この時、「計算用紙にもならんやろうし」と言ってるがどう考えてるかは不明。偶に片面印刷のプリントの場合は回収しないこともある。
--要項のプリントは、映像講座『化学の問題解法－理論・無機・有機－』と同じものである。テキストの説明に不足箇所がある場合のみ、配布される。
--『高3スーパー化学』受講者はテキストに要項がないため、全てのプリントが手に入る。一方で、高卒のテキストには予め要項がついているため、手に入るプリントには漏れが生じる。

-非常にテンポの良い授業をする。
-どの分野の解説も丁寧で分かりやすい。
--理論化学の評価が特に高い。解法の提供が中心ではあるが『化学S』や夏期の『化学特講I(計算問題)』との相性も悪くはない。
--無機化学の評判も良い。化学反応式のトレーニングが中心となる後期『化学S Part1』は、師の解き方重視の授業と相性が良い。
--有機化学の評価は割れる。
--十分に実力はつくのだが、解き方のプロセスだけでなく反応の知識もモノを言う分野で、電子論による説明がないため、暗記の比重が大きくなってくる。
---高分子化学において、糖の説明を行う時にフィッシャー投影法を用いることに否定的である（所裕之先生、山下幸久先生、星本悦司先生などは用いる）。
-授業はスケジュール通りに進む。
--補講どころか延長すら滅多に行わないため、受講者側の負担が少ない。

-どのレベル層の生徒からも支持されている。特に、現役生や高卒の苦手層からの支持が厚い。
--理論的な説明よりも解法の説明に力点を置くため、解説内容が抽象化・複雑化することが少なく、授業について行きやすいのだと思われる。

-上位〜超上位層からは批判の声も聞かれ、次のようなものが上がっている。
--要項解説について。「各分野の根底を押さえたり、分野間を貫いたりする説明がないため、本質まで踏み込んだ理解ができない」「テキスト・プリントの要項を読み上げ、重要度を言って線を引くだけであり、授業中に理解の広がりや深まりが得られない」「図表も見やすくは整理されているが、内容が複雑に編み込まれていて紐解きにくい」「全体的に説明が冗長である」など。
--解答解説について。「要項解説で理解のベースを作らずに問題解説を行うため、何が本質でどういう軸をおいて解こうとしているのかが見えにくい」「問題ごとに偶発的な解き方をしているように見えてしまう。そのため、様々な問題に適用できる汎用性や、難しい問題に適用できる応用性を授業中にあまり感じることができない」など。

-授業では、%%生徒%%岡本がしてしまいがちな間違いを実演し説明する。
--「そんな思いをするのは、前に立ってる岡本だけで十分です。」
--「こら岡本！何してんねん！」
--「これは岡本です。岡本以外ありえません！」
--「名前、全部岡本にしてください」
--「岡本以外で想像しないでください」(行ってはいけない危険な実験の説明の時)

-ヘッドセット型マイクの使い方が上手い。
--ヘッドセット型マイクのマイク位置を巧みに変えながら(30秒に1回程度触る)授業をする。
--受験にあまり関係のないことは、マイクを遠ざけて言うことが多い。
--逆に重要なことは、マイクを口元まで持って行って話すことも。ハウリングを起こさない絶妙な音量で言うのは見事である。

-現役生や苦手な人向けのものを中心に、数多くの授業を担当している。
--通期の授業では、『高3スーパー化学』を3校舎も任されているやり手。そのため現役生の動向、学校の授業進度にも詳しい。
--サテネットでは、『化学の基礎特講－スタートからの理論・無機・有機－』『化学の問題解法－理論・無機・有機－』『現役生のための受験化学』『化学基礎センター試験対策』『化学センター試験対策』を担当している。

*人物 [#qaa0e131]
-衛星放送時代から映像授業を担当していたり、著作が多いこともあり、実は全国的な知名度が結構高い有名講師。
-2019年度現在58歳（つまり1961年生）。
--同学年には竹岡広信先生や小笹俊之先生がいる。
-声が低く重い。そのため聞いていると疲れる人もいる。
-学生時代はラガーマンだったらしい。
-関西大学へ入ってからは、ラグビーボールではなくフラーレンを追いかけていた様子。
-笑顔が素敵でとにかく良い人。
-%%やや%%かなり頭髪が気になってきた。おでこも徐々に広がってきた。ただ、本人も自虐ネタにしようしているので特に問題ないだろう。
--希硝酸の半反応式の覚え方でもこのことをネタにしている。
-サテネット講座を多く担当しており、特にセンター試験対策講座は、生物の大森徹先生、日本史の塚原哲也先生、地理の岡田了一郎先生とともに衛星放送講座時代から担当しており、駿台生には全国的な知名度もある。
-文英堂の著作があるため校外生にも知名度が高い。
-授業中は物凄く熱いが、講師室ではちょっと怖い。でも、気にせず質問に行けばOK。
--初めは少し機嫌が悪いように思われるが、すぐにいつも通りの(授業通りの)ニコニコ笑顔の師になる。
--冬期や直前期には、笑顔で励ましてくれることも。
---恐らく質問内容を把握するために真剣に話を聞いてくださっているためである。
--丁寧かつ関連する知識も加えて答えてくださる。
--但し、講師室で質問する際には質問を丸投げにせず、必ず自分の疑問点を明確にしてから行こう。
--質問によっては、「議論の余地がない」、「止めよう」の一点張りである。
--ちなみに、実際には機嫌が悪いのではなく、あくまで授業で疲弊しているだけなので誤解のなきよう。
--講習の時の10分休みに講師室に質問に来た生徒に、疲れもあってか「何でこんなん分からんねん。(怒)」とキレてしまった。その時、マイクの電源を切るのを忘れており、教室の生徒全員に聞かれてしまい「岡本先生恐い。質問行くとキレられる。」(そんなことはない)というダーティーなイメージが付いてしまった。実際は凄く優しい人。授業を一度でも受ければそれが分かるはず。
-遅刻で途中入室した生徒には厳しく注意する。特に講習会では師の講座は満席であることも多く、後ろに座るといったことができないため途中入室に注意することが多い。
-名古屋校で、プリントの発注ミスをしたらしく、「受付のお姉さんに土下座するから！」と謝って本当に土下座しようとして止められていた。
-『パワーアップ医系化学』の冊子作成者。(所裕之先生と医系を担当)
--冊子のおまけコーナーにある生徒同士の対話は全くセンスを感じられない。
---稀に、1人生徒役を指名して、師と共に対話を音読させることがある。
---上本町校と名古屋校の生徒がメールでやり取りするなど、謎めいた設定もある。
-また、名大の青本や『突破レクチャー』の執筆をしたり、夏期には『名大化学』を担当するなど名大化学のスペシャリストである。
-青本は名大の他に神戸大も手掛けている。
-『パワーアップ京大化学』の問題の編集も任されている。
-直前講習の各大学『プレ化学』の表紙になっている水の状態図に因んだイラストは師の考案らしい。
-駿台の化学のテキストについて説明する際、「北は札幌から南は博多まで」と表現なさる。
-色々あって後期の初回授業では改めて自己紹介する。そこでは師の数少ない鉄板ネタを聞ける。

-ペンのカチャカチャする音が嫌いなようなので、色ペンを使う時には気を遣おう。
-計算(算数的な)はかなり苦手なようである。
